Well intentioned, but so very wrong on so many levels. Christ loved everyone without criticism or judgment with the exception of religious fundamentalists. Christ's second coming would be to establish God's kingdom on earth, Kirk, while adopting Christian nationalism, certainly made no claims of returning postmortem. Christ was crucified by the Roman government, fueled by pressure of the ultraconservative Jewish leadership, Kirk was murdered by Tyler Robinson, a mentally ill, very disturbed young man, damaged by 22 years of hate speech directed towards him and his people.
Your final sentence no rational person could find issue with, but begs the question, who would wish to be brought "closer" to a God who hates gays and women?
