Looking for a unique group living opportunity in D.C.? We're seeking one new housemate to join a six-bedroom, six-bathroom group home connected to an urban farm in the Edgewood neighborhood. The home sits on a one-acre greenspace and regularly hosts community events. Housemates can get as involved with the farm as they'd like, or not at all. Basement unit with private bathroom, approximately ~500 square feet (probably best for a shorter person fyi)

Rent: $1,250/month
Utilities: $225/month

Move-in: June 1, 2026
Heating/Cooling: Ductless minisplit
The unit has its own entrance (and access to the rest of the house) and your day-to-day kitchen use will be based out of that space
3. About the House
~3,000 sq ft home combining two rowhouses, renovated in 2018 and 2022. Two full kitchens with dishwashers, two living rooms, one dining room, fully furnished common areas, two firepits, a large porch, double backyard, two washer/dryer sets, one dedicated indoor bike storage space in a common area, and monthly professional cleaning.
4. Utilities Include
Electric, gas, water, internet, paper and cleaning supplies, monthly cleaning service for rooms and common areas, and free produce from the farm.
5. Location Perks
Plentiful street parking available. 12 minutes from Rhode Island Metro and walkable to bus routes. Close to bike share stations, shops, and restaurants.
6. The Farm
The house is connected to a nonprofit urban farm next door that hosts 155+ events a year, workshops, volunteer days, sound baths, grocery distributions, socials, and more. The house serves as the primary or backup indoor rain location for many of those events.
7. House Culture
This is a social home with frequent events, earplugs or white noise machines are helpful for light sleepers. Guests and foot traffic are common, especially on Sundays. We ask that folks pick up after themselves and not leave personal items in common areas. Pet-free, no indoor smoking (vapes ok), outdoor smoking allowed. Dishes should be done within 24 hours. Bedrooms have individual locks. We ask that folks directly communicate, lead with kindness, and are familiar with concepts of self and co-regulation.
