Leidos has an exciting opening for you, our next TS/SCI cleared DevOps Software Engineer working with a dynamic team to design, develop and deploy a ste-of-the-art technology stack supporting the DOMEX Da Discovery Plform (D3P) Modernizion program as well as our client’s mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploition and Disseminion (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE).  You will have impact as part of a mission focused, solutions oriented, and adaptive team th values inclusion, innovion, collaborion, and professional development. While most work is conducted on-site our client locion in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely.

As a DevOps Engineer you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture as well as technical systems administrion, installion, and configurion. You will participe in fostering a DevOps culture, building strong cross functional collaborion with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operions, and integrion teams, in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of developers, other software integrors and system administrors on the following key tasks:

• To deploy, triage and maintain a production big da pipeline using a microservice architecture running on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch backend, and Kafka messaging

• Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes to facilite faster development, quicker error detection and resilient deployments

• Design, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure to include physical and virtualized environments

• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments to support new feure requirements.

• Collabore with System Engineers to design solutions for new feures and requirements

• Provide technical input to systems engineering documention and diagrams/models working in coordinion/collaborion with SE team members and Architect team

• Participe in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions and other meetings

You bring enthusiasm, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience, and meet the following qualificions:

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or reled field or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, system engineering or reled field. 6+ years of experience with Master’s degree. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree are acceptable.

• Must have an active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance

• Possess least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certificion, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associe)

• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certificion per DoD 8570 policy

• Experienced with container/container orchestrion, specifically Kubernetes and troubleshooting experience with:

  • Ingress/Geway API

  • Helm chart design/build

  • Pod disruption budgets

  • Affinity/anti-affinity rules

  • Familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, eck (elastic search)

• GitLab pipeline development experience including:

  • Integrion of GitLab CI/CD components

  • Integrion of GitLab Code Quality reports

  • Integrion of GitLab Code Coverage/Test reports

• Knowledgeable in naviging Linux OS, specifically:

  • Knowledgeable about sysctls for K8s environments

  • FApolicyd and SELinux experience

• Comfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana

• Demonstred ability to participe in cross-functional planning, coordinion, and task execution

You will wow us even more if you have some of these:

• Experience with systems scale

• Experience/knowledge of key Agile processes and techniques

• Experience with development, i.e. Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.

• Experience on a production/ enterprise system

• Experience with any of the following technologies:

  • Kafka or other message passing systems (AMQP, JMS)

  • Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ Graphana

  • GPU-based Kubernetes

  • SALT for deployment automion

  • Nexus
