Leidos has an exciting opening for you, as our next Scrum Master, to play a critical role with design, engineering, development and deployment of software supporting our client’s mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploition and Disseminion (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). This position provides an opportunity to have impact as part of a mission focused, solutions oriented, and adaptive team th values innovion, collaborion, and professional development. You will play a key role with planning, development and testing of software focused on a new OSINT workflow and da management plform.

As the Scrum Master, you will lead a multidisciplinary, Agile team engaged in building an industry-leading streaming da pipeline focused on analysis of IT and cybersecurity dasets and a workflow management tool.  You will work together with systems engineers, development teams, release manager and PMO to conduct release and sprint planning using SAFe Agile methodology to accurely evalue scope and schedule of work, identify release and sprint backlogs, lead daily scrum meetings and demos, and remove obstacles to enable the teams to deliver high-quality, working code. You will be the champion of your team, conducting regular da-driven retrospectives, and working actively to improve the process and drive team productivity. You will bring your team leadership experience to anticipe project and implemention issues, to proactively support areas th may become a concern, to manage technical debt, and to ensure successful delivery. You are curious: you ask why, you explore, you are familiar with the lest and greest open-source tools, and are always fascined by wh’s possible and wh could be better.  You must be self-driven, and feel ownership over the project, team, and process. Most work will be conducted on-site our client locion in Bethesda, MD. Occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely.

• Coach a disciplined, distributed, fast-moving Agile team and program through Agile/Scrum ceremonies

• Perform release and sprint planning

• Assess the Agile murity of the team and coach the team to contribute to relentless improvement of the overall program

• Remove impediments and coach the team to remove impediments

• Build and maintain a high performing team by improving team dynamics and coaching the team to maximize self-organizion

• Facilite discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution

• Promote proper documention of the work within the development and systems engineering teams

• Work across the stakeholders to ensure effective solutions are delivered 

• Assist with internal and external communicion, improve transparency, and radiing informion

• Support the systems engineer in managing the team backlog and foster a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope

• Demonstre excellent interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills

This is you:

• Bachelor’s degree, technical discipline preferred and 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role of software development team(s) containing a visual front-end component. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree are acceptable.

• Active TS/SCI level clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certificion

• Excellent communicion, collaborion, and conflict resolution skills

• Experience with SAFe methodology

• Experience with task and ticket management tools such as Gitlab

• Proven ability to balance concurrent activities

• Strong knowledge and experience in software development in an Agile or SAFe environment

• Ability to quickly build rapport and keep a positive and motived team environment

• Must be a US Citizen

You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:

• Experience with workflow management tools such as Appian

• Familiarity with modern development approaches (serverless, containerizion, cloud, continuous delivery, micro-services, event based applicions)

• Experience with cloud deployment and cloud-based solutions

• An active COMPTIA Security+ certificion

• Experience supporting DIA/OSIC and/or DTP
