Description
Leidos Office of the Chief Informion Officer is seeking a Domain Architect. This position is ideally based in Reston, VA; however, highly qualified candides may be considered for remote work within the U.S.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Office of the Chief Informion Officer (OCIO) reports into the Digital Modernizion Sector and collabores across organizional lines to deliver effective enabling digital capabilities to our global employee base. The OCIO team develops, deploys, and manages innovive digital capabilities leveraging industry-leading partnerships and cost-effective deployment and management models. The OCIO is seeking leaders to drive efficient delivery and management, more opportunities for innovion, and facilite da-driven decisions across the enterprise.
As a Domain Architect, your responsibilities are aimed aligning IT with business objectives, optimizing technology investments, and driving the development and realizion of a robust and flexible IT architecture th supports the organizion's long-term goals. The candide should possess strong knowledge of the applicions architecture domain, and its relionship to business architecture and da architecture domains. A basic technical understanding of IT infrastructure and informion security is also necessary. Additionally, communicion, stakeholder management, and project management skills are crucial for collaboring with diverse teams and driving successful outcomes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Standards and Best Practices: Support the Chief Enterprise Stregy Architect to define and promote the adoption of applicions architectural standards and best practices across the organizion. This includes collaborion with Da, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity domain architects to ensure consistency, interoperability, and scalability of IT systems and solutions.
Applicions roadmap: Develop and maintain roadmaps th outline the evolution of enterprise applicions. This includes collaborion with applicion Service Level Managers and corpore department leaders to understand business problems & opportunities, identify emerging technologies and supplier offerings, assessing their impact, and aligning them with architectural principles and business outcomes.
Demand Qualificion: Work closely with Service Level Managers to provide architectural guidance during OCIO Demand Ideion and Qualificion steps. This involves reviewing proposed solution architectures and concept of operions, assessing technical feasibility, and ensuring alignment with architecture standards and business outcomes.
Independent Reviews: On large transformional initiives, perform an independent review of project team artifacts required for the initiing phase to ensure alignment with architecture standards and expected business outcomes.
M&A Analysis: Advise on HCM, Payroll, CLM and ERP systems considerions during M&A due diligence and integrion planning, ensuring IT value capture expections are viable and met.
Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to IT teams and junior architects and engineers. This helps build organizional capabilities and ensures adherence to architectural principles and practices.
Collaborion and Communicion: Foster collaborion and communicion between different IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors. This includes faciliting discussions, resolving conflicts, and promoting a shared understanding of architectural goals and decisions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in a Business or Informion Technology field and 15+ years of reled government contracting and commercial IT experience; additional years of professional work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Demonstred experience in a technical leadership role on large back office (e.g., ERP, HCM) enterprise applicion modernizion and business transformional initiives.
Experience evaluing an enterprise's back office (e.g. ERP, HCM) applicion portfolio or business transformional proposal for technology risks and opportunities.
Hands on experience with using an applicion roadmap to align technology initiives with business stregies for HR, Finance, or Procurement functions.
Excellent oral and written communicion skills, including briefings to senior leaders, technical and non-technical audiences, on informion technology topics.
Demonstred ability to coordine across senior-level teams to persuade, coordine, and develop consensus in a collegial and efficient manner. Ability to influence internal peers and stakeholders to promote the adoption of architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices across the organizion.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and demonstred poise and ability to act calmly and effectively in high-pressure, high-stress situions.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
Support a full-time work locion in the Nional Capital Region with travel domestically and internionally as required.
Demonstred experience in modeling the Leidos values.
Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with digital engineering and architecture tools.
An enterprise architecture reled certificion, e.g., TOGAF
Masters in a Business or Technology field.
Internal informion technology experience an enterprise having federal government DFARS and CAS requirements.
Experience interacting with Executive Leadership.
Experience with Internal Audit and ensuring SOX and other regulory framework compliance.
