-LEASE TAKEOVER OPPORTUNITY (current lease ends October 24, 2021), with the option to extend lease [5 months minimum or longer, if desired]
-Rent is $2,094/month and centrally-located between Shaw/Mt. Vernon Triangle/Chinatown/Penn Quarter in the heart of DC (450 K St NW)
-size of apartment is 524 sq feet
-apartment is unfurnished
-new closet installation was updated in November 2020 and is SO much better to organize your things (pic included)
-amenities in building also include rooftop pool, gym, and 24 concierge with package receiving
-parking is additional fee but I have easily found street parking within a block or two of the building
-cats and dogs ok with extra fees as well
-trash and gas is included in rent
-electric is separate but average (for me, personally) at ~$30-40 depending on usage per month
-10 minute walk to the Chinatown AND Mt. Vernon Triangle metro stops. And easy access to several bus routes on K St and Massachusetts Ave.
-building and its neighbors take COVID precautions seriously e.g. all public areas require masks, gym is available but limited to 5 people for social distancing, one family at a time in elevators (there are 3 elevators so it is not time consuming), and hand sanitizing stations located in public spaces
Important note: Please ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES! If you are interested, I am happy to perform a live tour with you (bear in mind, I have boxes and things around due to packing until May 20). If you want to takeover my lease before May 21, I would need your name and number to send to management and they can conduct a background check and credit check ($75). And according to management, the security deposit I paid when I moved in ($250) stays with the apartment which means if you takeover my lease, that security deposit does not get sent to me. It would get sent to you after you move out/end your lease.
Since the initial fee will be charged to me since I’m still on the lease, I would require require reimbursement for the security deposit and application fee for a total of $325 (via PayPal or Venmo) at the time your credit/background gets approved for moving in (I would be happy to provide copy of proof of deposit).
If you take over my lease after May 21 (my move out date), I would still just need your contact information and you will pay them a separate application fee and security deposit under your new lease for this apartment.
