Summary/General Description Of Job:

The VTC/AV Senior Administrator position is responsible for supporting customer trouble calls and support requests. This position also provides AV and VTC Support to the onsite customer as well as technical support and troubleshooting to VTC end-users.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

•Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
•Participates in or leads special projects as required by the Project Manager/VTC Engineer
•Provides occasional on-call support after normal business hours
•Employs exceptional customer service skills and be able to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
•Produces procedure/guideline documentation requested by the Project Manager/VTC Engineer
•Supports the acquisition and inventory of AV/VTC hardware and software
•Ensures proper procedures/guidelines are followed during performance of duties
•Provides timely written reports of work status as requested
•Provides timely updates of work status via Service Desk Ticketing System
•Implements to closure various projects as related to the Enterprise VTC presence, conference room management, and room security
•Produces training documentation in regards to Enterprise VTC presence and conference room integration as required
•Coordinates and processes VTC Bridge sessions for the Enterprise
•Processes and carries out VTC meetings at local site
•Liaisons with outside vendors for VTC equipment and conference room/mission room support
•Assists remote technicians in regards to VTC session coordination and VTC troubleshooting
•Ensures compliance with latest DoD STIGS as they apply to VTC operations/design and room security by recommending remedies as appropriate
•Provides backup support for Management Center operations as necessary
•Manages and maintains SPHQ Conference Rooms; updates cabling when necessary, maintains AV Rack and ensures proper cabling and organization is utilized, setup/breakdown of equipment for special events, provides hands-on assistance with customers during initial setup of meetings

•Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques involved in IT support operations, IT ticket systems, and basic Active Directory
•Knowledge of and ability to use and install relevant AV/VTC hardware, software and other equipment
•Capable of working in a demanding environment of near-100% system availability and be able to render solutions to issues in a timely manner.
•Experience with configuration and operation of Cisco,Tandberg, and/or Polycom VTC equipment
•Minimum 5 years of experience supporting VTC/AV Enterprise services
•SECRET Clearance
•Security+ (or similarly approved certification) and Navy Cybersecurity Workforce Operating System (OS) environment credential (or similarly approved certification) within 6 months of employment.


•Knowledge of Navy Information Assurance policies.
•Security+ (or similarly approved certification) and Navy Cybersecurity Workforce Operating System (OS) environment credential (or similarly approved certification)
•Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA-Collaboration), Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)
•InfoComm CTS certification, Cisco/Tandberg certification
