Our client combines television channels with media and consumer-oriented assets, including magazines; studios, related digital and social media platforms, books, maps, children and educational media, and ancillary activities that include travel, location-based entertainment, catalog and licensing e-commerce. A portion of the proceeds from our client’s work will be used to fund science, exploration, conservation and educational initiatives.
Our client is seeking a Support Analyst to provide day-to-day support to their magazine publishing activities. The role will work with writers, editors, photo editors as well as technical administrators of both software and infrastructure systems. The job will be to solve various problems that arise.
• 5+ years experience providing support to publishing and media asset systems
• 3+ years experience with technical and systems analysis
• Experience with the challenges of a support role
• Exposure/expertise in SCC Media Grid or comparable products
• Exposure/expertise in K4, InCopy, InDesign or comparable products
• Enough technical aptitude to effectively communicate with Systems Admins in solving problems
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage you time effectively
• Innate ability and desire to solve problems.
Compensation – This is a long term contracting opportunity (initially 6 months to one year). The hourly rate is targeted up to $80/hr (1099). We would also consider making you an employee of AAJ with a comparative salary if that were a better option for you.
Location – A majority of the work will be required to be performed on-site at our clients location in downtown Washington DC (NW). You will be required to be on-site most days, although some of the work may be done remotely. Please do not reply if you are not local, and able to be on-site in DC most of the time.
