The painting and myself are located in Burtonsville, Md. 20866. For sale is a beautiful little painting, ready to hang, of a quaint country scene on the river with a water-wheel house, a thatched roof house and a young peasant couple winding up the road. The piece is signed and dated "L. Popplein 1858". The overall measurements are about 14.5" x 12.5". The surname Popplein is of German origin, specifically Bavaria. Soooo I'm figuring that the scene is probaly of Bavaria. Bavarian Germany
