Very Large Stoneware No. 3 Jug marked Edmands & Co., Charlestown, MA with cobalt slip decoration. Circa 1860. Edmands & Co. was a major manufacturer among New England Potteries. Charlestown is the oldest neighborhood in Boston where the Bunker Hill Monument is. It is in the north side of the city on the Banks of Boston Harbor and the Mystic River. As pictured, has a piece missing on the spout area. Stands about 17" tall. Stunning piece of history.
