Up for consideration is an early 1900's example of a Chicago Mosaic floral hanging lampshade. The shade is in excellent condition for being over 100 years old and retains it's original cap and hook hardware. to suspend it from the ceiling. it measures 24" inches in diameter and is very solid. Chicago Mosaics lamps were manufactured in Chicago, Illinois at the turn of the century and are well documented in many books as one of Louis Comfort Tiffany's competitors along with Handel, Duffner and Kimberly, Wilkinson Suess Ornamental, Williamson, Unique Art Glass and Metal Company, Bigelow and Kennard....just to name a few.
