When the International Canoe Federation dropped the boat length requirement from 4 meters to 3.5 in 2005, a lot of slalom racers chopped the ends off their boats. This helped the boats turn faster without much loss of forward speed.
This one, although dirty (sorry) is in good shape. The foam core hull and deck are stiff. It has been stored in a barn for the past several years.
The light weight (~20lb), flat hull, speed, and low volume stern make this a great boat for attaining and surfing.
