Are you looking for an inexpensive way to get into sailing? Then this is a great little starter boat. There's not a lot of bells and whistles, no chart plotter, no radar, no stove, no steering wheel (tiller steered), but it floats and it sails, and it has all the required emergency equipment such as flares, VHF radio, whistle, fire extinguisher, air horn, life jackets, etc. There's a solar panel that keeps the battery charged, and it still seems to be running solidly.
I moved out of the area, and am looking to sell Bathtub Jib (a play on words from the Prohibition era idea of bathtub gin). It's currently docked in Herrington Harbor North marina. It's a great little boat for day sailing and getting practice out in the Chesapeake. I've had it a few years now. I bought a newer (5 years old) outboard 5hp motor for it and have only ever given it marine grad gasoline since owning it. I also bought a portable autopilot that connects to the tiller which is very useful for single handed sailing. It is spring and soon it will be time to get back out on the water, so reach out, and buy this nimble little vessel!
