Up for sale is a classic cast iron mechanical penny bank titled "Uncle Sam & Arab," manufactured by John Wright. This piece is a satirical nod to the 1970s energy crisis, featuring Uncle Sam wearing a barrel while standing next to an oil tycoon and a barrel labeled "Arab Oil."

So it’s maybe that’s part of it. It’s only saying six or seven this is probably bigger than the one they’re saying.

• Material: Heavy-duty painted cast iron.
• Markings: Bottom plate reads "The John Wright Penny Bank Collection - UNCLE SAM & ARAB ©1975."
• Condition: Good vintage condition with a charming aged patina. There are some minor spots of surface rust and paint wear consistent with age (see photos for detail).
