ESL Teachers Wanted (Silver Spring)

ESL TEACHERS NEEDED
LADO International Institute, Silver Spring Campus (www.lado.edu) is currently looking for experienced and/or certified ESL teachers:
• PRIORITIES:
o Evening availability (6:00 pm - 9:45pm, M-F)
o Daytime availability (9:00 am – 1:55pm, M-F) – likely a combination of subbing and regular hours

• We are also looking for teachers for the following:
o Saturday availability (9:00 am – 2:08pm)

Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• a Bachelor's degree, minimum
• 6 months minimum of ESL teaching experience and/or TEFL/TESOL Certificate *LADO is able to grant certification after successful completion of the Lado TEFL Certificate course
Prospective teacher description:
• Has a positive rapport with students
• Motivates students to make progress
• Flexibility with & respect for students with a variety of beliefs, needs, and goals
• Advocates a communicative and student-centered approach to learning – knowledge of grammar a major plus
• Collaborates well with colleagues & supervisors
• Interested & active in own professional development
• Knowledge of (an)other foreign language(s) and experience travelling to/living in other countries is very helpful
