Electric Warrior (1971) by T. Rex is widely celebrated as a foundational masterpiece of glam rock, transforming Marc Bolan from a folk-hippie into a flamboyant superstar. It is lauded for its infectious, fuzzed-out guitar riffs, intimate and sexual songwriting, and tight, blues-influenced production by Tony Visconti. The album is considered essential listening, balancing hit singles with high-quality, consistent tracks.
Marc Bolan and company release Electric Warrior in 1971 and deliver sexy smooth tunes with a hard blues rock edge. With hits like "Get It On", they helped to define "glam" as an emerging genre in rock. You may recognise the track "Jeepster" from the bar scene in Death Proof. Combining both the punch of rock music and the sly emotional impact of blues, they created music that you can not only rock out to but get down and dirty with as well.
