Hand-Made Industrial Media Console Table – Reclaimed DC Row-House Lumber – Artisan Built
Beautiful hand-crafted media console made by GreyDuckLuxury, an artisan based in Columbia Heights, Washington DC. This piece is built from salvaged wood and metal reclaimed from a DC row-house, giving it both character and history.
The wood was stained using the artist’s homemade iron acetate solution, derived partly from the original board nails. This staining method reacts naturally with the tannins in the wood and brings out an aged, rich tone that enhances the grain. The surface is protected with a semi-gloss polyurethane finish for durability and easy cleaning.
This is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece with a modern industrial look… perfect for apartments, lofts, and contemporary spaces.
