Leopold Walnut Tanker Desk with Typewriter Tray

Iconic MCM Leopold of Burlington, Iowa tanker desk is made from solid wood and walnut veneer. It has rare solid wood drawer pulls, dovetail construction and solid wood frame.

The desk has a center drawer (no keynote lock) and a mechanism that locks the three left hand drawers and releases when the center drawer is slightly pulled open.

The right side is a cabinet with a typewriter tray that slides out and locks in place. The desk includes the original tension spring and connecting pieces, but it is not installed

This stylish madmen style desk is in fair condition, with marks, scratches,and dimples on the top. The right side veneer is loose and needs re-glued. There is also some damage to the veneer on the right side as well.

The drawers hand marks and stains and the top left drawer has crack in the wood base.
