1990s Therien Studio Workshops Large Italian Walnut Arm Chairs, A Pair - $375 (Rockville, MD)

The arm chairs feature elaborately carved Italian walnut frames, padded back and seat, open arms, shaped apron on four sides, and cabriole legs supported by an X stretcher and ending in stylized paw feet. The wood finish is a chestnut brown with a studio applied rustic distressed finish.
The 1990s era chairs are in very good condition with minimal wear on the wood frames. The upholstery is original and still usable but should probably be replaced, as there is some fraying and stains. The X stretchers are decorative rather than structural with some repaired cracks. Please see photos for more details about condition.
The chairs have an impressive scale. Each chair measures 42.75” tall, 27” wide, and 27” deep with a seat height of 21 inches and an arm height of 28.5 inches.
