This is a rare set of 6 vintage carved Italian walnut dining side chairs signed by Therien Studio Workshops. These are unusually large dining chairs of a model called Venetian, and they were purchased in the 1990s for $2000 per chair.

The dining chairs feature elaborately carved Italian walnut frames, padded back and seat, shaped apron on four sides, and cabriole legs supported by an X stretcher and ending in stylized paw feet. The wood finish is a chestnut brown with a studio applied rustic distressed finish.

The 1990s era dining chairs are in excellent condition with minimal wear on the wood frames and upholstery. The X stretchers are decorative rather than structural with some repaired cracks. Please see photos for details about condition.

The dining chairs are impressive in scale. Each chair measures 42.75” tall, 27” wide, and 27” deep with a seat height of 21 inches.
