MCM Atomic Chrome Hourglass Swivel Bar Stools by Comfort Lines, Pair - $150 (Rockville, MD)

The bar stools have tubular chrome frames with flared backs, round padded swivel seats upholstered in vinyl (one white and one aqua), and 4 splayed legs joined by a circular footrail. The effect is a distinctly atomic style hourglass shape. The stools are signed Comfort Lines under the seats.
The circa 1960s bar stools are in very good vintage condition. The chrome frames are sturdy and strong with some patina on the finish. The vinyl seats are discolored but look like they could be easily reupholstered. The white stool has one cracked plastic foot pad. The aqua stool swivels slightly less freely than the other. Each bar stool measures 41" tall, 23" wide, and 23" deep with a seat height of 29 inches.
