This is Anya, a 3 year old New Zealand/Netherland Dwarf cross. She’s currently looking for a new home. I’m moving across country to facilities not conducive to rabbits. I just don’t think it’s fair to her to force her to stay with me.
I got her from a breeder who never socialized her, and she’s still very cautious of new people. She really freaks out if caged, and can become aggressive if you try to pick her up out of one. She thrives on space and toys! She has a lovely personality when she’s allowed to warm up to a situation, and wants to say hi to anyone who walks into her room! She has opinions about lettuce, so if you have significant quantities of romaine to be inspected, she’s your girl. Just make sure it’s not wilted! Loves hay and nesting. Will probably build a nest if given the opportunity, made of any materials available. Not crazy about full on snuggles yet, but loves to loaf next to you to watch a movie. She had a broken leg, so she needs a good solid floor, but if she has one she has adorable mismatched zoomies!
Requirements for home:
Indoors only, no cages. Pet only! Not for breeding or eating. Solid floor. Yearly vet checks. No children, friendly dogs/cats okay. Again, can be slightly aggressive in new situations or if handled roughly. Experience is a must! This is my best girl, she needs someone to love her properly. Rabbits aren’t a “first pet” for children, they’re a decade long commitment.
I’m asking a $25 rehoming fee to avoid breeders and eaters. I would also appreciate info on your setup and experience.
