As a PRN Speech Language Therapist, you will provide a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitive services for pients with speech-language and/or swallowing disorders. Tests, evalues, plans, and develops approprie therapy modalities based on the pient's individual ability/disability. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulions and MedStar Georgetown's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Primary Duties:
Provides direct speech, language, and swallowing evaluions and re-evaluions, including assessment of prior and current level of functioning, setting approprie goals and making approprie discharge recommendions in accordance with standards of practice. Provides direct SLP trements according to standards of practice, including pient and family educion, progression of trement plan and implemention of approprie therapeutic interventions.
Utilizes approprie documention forms and abides by PM&R’s documention standards. Coordines and prioritizes own schedule in relion to demands of pient trement and other departmental responsibilities.
Demonstres proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Collabores with physicians, pients, family and other members of health care team relive to pient trement and progress as well as other affilied agencies with regard to effective discharge planning.
Maintains CEUs per ste requirements for continued professional competency. Adheres to all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulions with regards to the physical environment and pient care.
Qualificions:
Speech-Language Phology degree.
Speech-Language Phologist licensure in the District of Columbia, or ability to obtain if hired.
BLS (Basic Life Support).
1-2 years reled clinical practice experience in an acute care or rehabilition facility preferred.
