Crafted in 1987, this piece features a classic salt-glaze finish with a deep cobalt blue hand-painted vine and berry motif encircling the body, accented by two matching blue horizontal bands.
True to the tradition of J.E. Maloney, who began making pottery near Williamsburg in 1938, this pot is an adaptation of 18th-century colonial designs. It features a sturdy, utilitarian build with a slightly flared rim and visible throwing rings on the interior, showcasing its handmade character.
