Anna Greta Eker was born in Finland in 1928. She moved to Norway in the 1950’s where she married Erling Christofferson, head of the silver workshop at PLUS in Fredrikstad. Originally an industrial designer, Eker became one of the leading silversmiths at PLUS along with Christofferson and Tone Vigeland. They forged a reputation for the highest quality of workmanship and design, and their pieces are highly sought after (particularly the rarer examples). Eker’s work features both geometric and organic forms sometimes incorporating stones, glass or beads. Most of the pieces are hand hammered.
