Gold pendant from the Alva Museum (Alva, FL); replica of Akua' Ba African fertility doll on a twist chain. Figure measures about 3" tall; chain has a spring ring clasp and measures 24" in length. The back of the figure is stamped "Alva Museum Replicas." The 13.5" high original was carved of wood by the Ashanti People of Ghana. The original is in the American Museum of Natural History. Silver Spring, just north of Colesville and off of New Hampshire Ave.
