The Operations Manager oversees all facility operations to ensure a high standard of service reporting directly to the CEO/GM and Owner. The Operations Manager understands facility management services including having the capability to recruit and manage sub-contractors as needed. The Operations Manager supervises the facility services staff, directly or through subordinate managers/supervisors, and may be required to supervise other positions. The Operations Manager plans and executes staffing and services as well as, manages day to day operations. The Operations Manager is intrapreneurial, manages stella operations, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is team focused.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure operations are managed in line with company standards, policies and procedures
-Evaluate processes and procedures to maximize efficiency.
-Communicate daily with the CEO/GM and Owner, on all site and staff matters
-Communicate effectively and professionally with facility management staff
-Maintain awareness and knowledge of the company's daily operational activities.
-Plan and manage staffing and client services for both one-time and recurring.
-Review daily service reports including responding to and resolving client complaints
-Perform regular site inspections including communicating service deficiencies to staff for resolution and managing the resolution of deficiencies to ensure client satisfaction
-Maintain efficient and accurate records for quality and cost control
-Maintain knowledge of the latest industry standard equipment and procedures.
-Create and maintain relationships with the customers and related Points of contacts.
-Schedule and conduct training sessions and staff meetings for facility services staff personnel.
-Ensure staff are trained facility management issues in accordance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other applicable rules and regulations.
-Oversees inventory levels of all supplies and equipment.
-Hires, trains, disciplines, and terminates department employees, in accordance with company policies consulting with the executive leadership as needed.
-May assist facility management staff in performing duties, filling in as needed
-Promote and maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
Requirements:
-A bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience which includes 8-10 years of progressive facility management industry experience.
-Operational knowledge across multiple industries.
-Supervisory experience is a MUST
-Must be willing to travel across the DMV
-Must be willing to work outside of regular business hours
-Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
-Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
