About Me
My expertise lies in several areas: standardized test preparation for both graduate and high school exams such as the GRE, GMAT, SAT, PSAT, AFOQT, the ASVAB and the SSAT, both math and verbal sections, Spanish language and literature (all levels), and college, scholarship and financial aid counseling. I have also taught math and Spanish from the middle school to community college levels. Throughout my 30+ year career, I have achieved notable success in all areas of scholastic preparation including a number of National Merit Finalists and several perfect scores on the SAT, two within the last year. My students have also achieved excellent results with an average composite school of 31.4. I have taught for a number of years with the Cambridge Educational Group and presently work part time with them in developing their products. I have also taught teacher preparation for the SAT/ACT and GRE at the college level as an adjunct instructor at Queens College and math instructor at ASA College. I have served as NY State Chairperson for the ACT and been an active member of and certified by NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Counselors).

Motivation is the key to success and dramatic score increases can be attained by any student willing to put in the time and effort. Students in high school also need to be made aware of all the educational opportunities available to them, as well as the reasons for excelling in their present classes. I strive always to keep my students aware and involved in all competitive scholarship and financial aid opportunities open to them. I feel that private tutoring should be focused and economical and allow parents and students to take advantage of different educational strategies.
