I purchased this bass brand new in January 2025 from Rainbow Guitars. Rainbow had the bass as new old stock. The purchase date is proved by the warranty papers that I registered with Fender soon after I took delivery of the instrument.
It turns out that I am more of a Jazz bass player, so I am looking to move this instrument on.
This bass has barely been played - I estimate about two or three hours play at home. The bass is in mint condition and has no marks other than the original factory relic work by Fender Custom Shop. Weight is 8.9lbs with covers (removing the covers will drop the weight by about 6oz or so).
This particular model is quite hard to come by, given that the relic treatment is quite muted (most other 63s are regular relics or heavy relic, which I feel is overkill). The only other example I have found of this same bass is offered by Humbucker Music for $4950 plus tax and shipping.
I am asking $3350 cash for this bass.
