Genesis Women Support is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women and children facing hardship, domestic violence, homelessness, and crisis situations across the U.S. Our team provides support, resources, and advocacy to help families rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
We are currently seeking a Virtual Personal Assistant to support our administrative and outreach operations from home.
The Virtual Personal Assistant will help keep our daily tasks, communication, and programs organized. This is a remote role ideal for someone who is reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently.
You will work directly with our administrative team to keep our nonprofit programs running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage emails, schedules, and follow-up tasks
- Organize documents, files, and online records
- Assist with donor communication and outreach messages
- Help coordinate social media posts and updates
- Prepare simple reports, spreadsheets, and data entry
- Schedule meetings and send reminders
- Support grant applications and program tasks (training provided)
- Complete assigned administrative tasks in a timely manner
Donation & Outreach Responsibilities
- Assist in managing donor communication and thank-you messages
- Record and organize incoming donations (cash, goods, digital contributions)
- Help track donation items such as clothing, supplies, and support packages
- Coordinate with team members on distribution of donated items
- Maintain accurate logs and spreadsheets of donation-related activity
- Support outreach efforts to donors, volunteers, and partner organizations
Weekly Schedule
This remote role requires 20–25 hours per week, typically spread across:
- Monday–Friday: 3–5 hours per day
- Light weekend availability preferred (optional) for message checking
- Flexible scheduling — you may work during your own preferred hours as long as tasks are completed daily
- Training provided; long-term opportunities available
Requirements & Skills
✔ Strong communication skills (written & spoken)
✔ Good organization and time-management abilities
✔ Basic computer skills (Google Workspace/MS Office)
✔ Reliable internet connection
✔ Ability to work independently without constant supervision
✔ Must be trustworthy, discreet, and compassionate
✔ Interest in nonprofit work or supporting women & children
✔ Familiarity with social media posting tools
