When: It's available any time after June 1, even, for example, September.

Who: Any amazing male or female.

Location: We are about 12-minute walk from the Wheaton stop on the red line of the DC Metro[1], just north of the DC Beltway (I-495). Union Station, in downtown DC, is a 22-minute ride from Wheaton.[2] Complimentary rides to NIH are possible, but 14-20 minute RideOn Route 34 or the 37 to Strathmore @red line also works.[3] Metro buses Q1, Q2, Q4, Q5, & Q6 get you to downtown (northern) Rockville.[4] Catholic University is a 15 minute metro ride. A Safeway grocery store is right at the metro, and we're within walking distance to the biggest shopping complex on the metro (including Target, Costco, Giant Food, Macys, 80 nearby restaurants, and 16 bars).

Due to the current potential for unrest, a few candidates asked about safety of this neighborhood. It's probably the safest in the DC area, even safer than Bethesda, with 88% a lower violent crime rate then DC proper and 60% that of Bethesda.[5-8]

Lease: It's a month-to-month lease, but some housemates have been here for years, so it's a mix of old friends and new faces. It's very easy to leave. This is one of many things done to help ensure that everyone here is enjoying it. (If you think about it, most leases are only of use for trapping tenants in once they want to leave!) The security deposit is very low ($100), and can be taken off of your last month's rent provided you give 30 days notice.

Suite: There's a balcony with a table and chairs. The suite entrance itself has a keyed lock for extra security, queen bed, desk, dresser, chairs, and a closet with an iron and ironing board. There's a door to the private bathroom. Padded carpeting means no specs of dust on the bottom of your feet and good noise absorption/isolation. There's wireless, but there's also a wired connection because wireless isn't as secure[9] and can't make full use of our fiber optic connection. There's central ac and heat. Everything not new in the room will be washed, including the pillows, and the mattress will be fully aired out.

House details: The large house has a working fireplace, movie room, and weight room. The kitchen has most of the gadgets you blissfully but mistakenly thought you'd use. There's a deck, outdoor grill, hammock, greenhouse, and flower garden. The movie room has a 65" 4k tv which gets most the more recent movies in 4k/5.1 surround sound (allowing you to experience movies as if you were in a movie theater even though they are all closed now).

There are a lot of free services:

o use of office equipment like copiers, printers, and scanners.
o all of the chores are done by someone.
o all the common areas are cleaned regularly.
o all the dishes are both sterilized and put back so that the kitchen is always usable.
o unlimited coffee and tea using filtered water (both Britta and DCC-RWF).
o delivery of groceries (mostly for anyone who doesn't own a car).
o newspaper.
o household supplies such as TP, paper towels, laundry detergents, stain removers, and bleaches.

In the suite is a 42" TV with surround sound 7.0. It is powered by a PC and a Roku 4, allowing over 50 local channels, pre-registered Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, as well as hundreds of other channels. If that's not enough content, if two or more people in the house want to watch a movie we don't get it is paid for out of the above misc. fee. The way we see it, in the unlikely event you actually have enough time to watch a movie in the first place, it may as well be with friends, but it had better be good! This way, even in the worst case (that the IMDB rating was "enhanced"), you can still at least laugh with friends about how dumb the movie is!

House atmosphere: We're sort of like the Friends TV show. ~50-50 co-ed and we are happy to interview both males and females for this slot in the house. On average, we have game nights a few times month. Housemate ages are 19-53.

Voting rights: All housemates are able to vote about various issues including who can next move in. To be honest, it is difficult to get unanimously voted into the house, but, on the bright side, if you do get in from then on you could then veto any incoming candidate you had misgivings about. This voting process takes less than 24 hours, but requires paying 1/4 of the security deposit. It's refunded if you are rejected, but if we say yes and you decide to live elsewhere, it isn't refunded, so only pay after verifying that this place probably works for you in terms of location, price, etc.

Contact: All inquiries will still be answered or responded to within 1 hour of daylight, so if there is no response within 12 hours, try again, as we definitely did not get your message or you didn't get our response. This is true even if it isn't a good match.
