Lead Copier Technician (Beltsville)

compensation: $50,000-$65,000 Plus Bonuses
employment type: full-time

This Job is for someone with advanced Knowledge and experience in the setup, maintaining and troubleshooting of B&W/Color Copier equipment. If you have not worked as a copier technician in the past please DO NOT APPLY.

This is a high-level service position requiring advanced troubleshooting skills and the capability of handling the full array of products and services offered by ImpactOffice Technologies (IOT). As well as office equipment hardware support, this position will require advanced networking and software solution’s support. Advanced networking and solutions support include the ability to provide pre and post installation expertise in connecting, configuring, integrating and troubleshooting office equipment on a customer’s network environment. This individual is also responsible for the timely and cost-effective installation, maintenance and repair of office product equipment as well as promoting and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with all IOT services and products. Building trust and working directly with the customers and sales team to influence the sales of our office equipment and print solutions.

Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient equipment repair
Assist the Field Service Team through technical assistance and training
Analyze customer needs, recognize business opportunities, and influence sales
Communicate and interact with customers, field service techs, dispatch, sales, management, and administration in a way that is helpful, courteous, positive and professional
Provide accurate feedback to Dispatch/Management with call close information, parts usage reporting and customer meter readings
Assist with equipment setup and building if required
Conduct installation functions and activities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Software installs – server and client
Network installation and configuration
Hardware installation and configuration
Assist with customer training

• One or more Network Certifications such as A+, C+, CompTIA Network+ or similar
• Canon or OCE Copier Training/Experience


5+ years as a Field Service Technician
3+ years of Canon/OCE Office Equipment Hardware or Software Solutions experience
2+ years of Network Experience
Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle, ability to commute and work daily in VA/DC area
