I flagged 75 ads by this rule breaker today. All posted yesterday (7/30/25) Took me 5 minutes.
Most ads are posted three or more times. He was gone but here he is again. Clearly a commercial posing as an individual owner/seller.
Anyone who frequently consults this Craigslist Tools-by-Owners pages has seen this guy's tool spam--mostly semi-new tools, many in the original boxes, lots of Ryobi stuff without batteries, etc. He (?) keeps at least 70 active ads on this tools page alone, usually renewed in globs of 40 or 50.
If you want to avoid these ads, it takes an investment of about 10 minutes originally, then a couple of minutes every other day flagging the ads. (I just did that in 4 minutes 34 seconds for the new ads.)
1. Simply open one of his ads then click on the "more ads by this user" and start flagging. Initially, you can do about 10 per minute. You won't see those ads again until they are reposted.
2. Every couple of days, repeat #1. You will not see more than 4 or 5 ads each day.
The end objective is to get this guy off the site--AGAIN. I and others have written to Craigslist repeatedly about his rule violations, but they don't do sh**. If enough people follow the process outlined above, the automatic Craigslist spam process might kick in and we can get him off totally.
