Quantum Space is redefining how spacecraft move and operate across LEO, GEO, and cislunar environments. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Machinist with 5+ years of CNC set-up and run experience to join our team.
This role is best suited for someone who values precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship, and who thrives in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Rather than programming, the focus will be on executing and running programs developed by our team, ensuring high-quality results that support our mission.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts to specification.
- Collaborate closely with programmers to run existing code efficiently.
- Ensure quality standards are met through inspection and attention to detail.
- Maintain equipment and support a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Bring a growth mindset and contribute to continuous improvement in machining processes.
What It Takes
5+ years of CNC machine set-up and run experience.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and inspection techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute machining programs developed by others.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive work ethic.
- Desire and openness to grow skills, including the potential to learn programming.
