Researchers in UMD's School of Public Health are doing interviews in order to better support LGBTQ young people in Maryland and the DMV area. We are looking to talk with LGBTQ girls between the ages of 15-19 who are

(1) lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, queer, or some other non-heterosexual identity and
(2) have been "out" to their parent about their sexual identity for 6 or more months.
Teens and their families will be interviewed for 90 minutes on the University of Maryland College Park campus or a private library space that is convenient to the family. Teens and parents will be interviewed at the same time, but in separate rooms. Families will be compensated with $80 for their time ($40 for teens participation and $40 for the parent[s] participation).
