Publications Assistant -- Copyright Clearance
The copyright clearance assistant supports our publications activities by making sure we have the appropriate licenses or rights for the use of copyrighted material in client publications. The job involves identifying the copyright holder, creating clearance requests and other correspondence to the copyright holder, and determining cost associated with license or use agreements for text, illustrations, photographs, or other material used in client publications. This person will maintain and update a database with pertinent information concerning contracts, owner information, royalty data, and associated correspondence and contact information.
Requires experience working in a print and online publications environment, the ability to initiate and follow through with clear, professional communication with management-level staff at journals, book publishers, and academic or industrial publications departments.
