Tire, Definity HP100, made by Cooper Tires for Pep Boys. Size/rating: 225/60R17, 99H.
This is a tubeless, radial, general all-season highway tire. (Tire only, no wheel. ) Manufactured in 2016 (DOT code 3316 = 33rd week of 2016). From what I can see, the tire has some handling marks, and may have been mounted once but probably was not driven on much or not at all; I think it was probably an unused spare tire that was kept when the parent vehicle was retired. Tread depth is very close to original factory depth (about 0.300 inch by my measurement, which is about 10/16-inch). Edges are sharp, there’s no feathering or cupping, and the mold “whiskers” are still present at the shoulders, all suggesting that the tire was unused or virtually unused. The rubber has a uniform color and sheen, with only minor dust/specks; no signs of dry-rot patterns. It has been stored indoors in a locked shed. There is no visible wear on the tread blocks. All of this you can check by referring to the photos.
Having said all of that, this tire was manufactured 9 years ago, so because of its age, I personally would use it only as a full-size spare, not for sustained highway driving. Sold as-is. $35 (down from $40). (This model tire is still sold and you can Google up the current prices.) Any actual offer will be given respectful consideration.
