Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper (Annandale, VA)

Job Description

Our company is currently seeking ​an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial transactions for our company.

Responsibilities: Perform all bookkeeping functions

• Pay vendor bills and manage the Accounts Payable process
• Perform Accounts Receivable including collections of past due payments from clients
• Perform billing functions
• Data entry of cash receipts
• Processing credit card transactions
• Produce financial reports monthly
• Order and maintain office supplies
• Open and distribute mail
• Answer phones/greet visitors
• Communicate with permit approving agencies as required to confirm timelines
• Handle filing
• Arrange meetings/agendas
• Ensure smooth daily running of the office by handling administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Outlook & Excel Proficiency
• Accounting Software Proficiency
• QuickBooks a plus
