Accounting Clerk (Fairfax, VA)

Our team is looking for an experienced part-time Accounting Clerk to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance operations to include process improvement initiatives and financial reporting. Our ideal candidate is a detail oriented, self-starter with excellent organizational skills and consistent with meeting deadlines. Must be comfortable in a fast paced, start-up to high growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee processing A/R, A/P and Payroll
-Build and manage financial models for operational forecasting, variance analysis, planning, project and operational performance.
-Oversee comprehensive reporting, analyses and projections of metrics and financials
-Prepare monthly Cash and GL reconciliations including posting appropriate journal entries
-Manage the month-end and year-end close process to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
-Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
-Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
-Prepare key financial reports timely to facilitate leadership to make informed strategic and tactical decisions
-Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual meetings with key stakeholders to review Financial results.

Key Requirements:

Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
3-5 years of accounting or financial management experience
Must be familiar with Quickbooks
