ORI is a Herndon-based government contractor and is a thriving data collection, research and business intelligence firm that connects government, commercial, association and not-for-profit clients with key audiences so they can make evidence-based decisions that accelerate results.
ORI is looking for an experienced, broadly skilled Accountant to round out a three-person accounting team, working closely with the HR department.

Experience in full accounting cycle: contract setup, job cost accounting including labor, payroll processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger. Government contract experience strongly preferred. Complete knowledge of payroll is required. Proven track record of increasing accounting skills and responsibility. Proficient in MS-Excel and Word. Other duties as assigned.
Other desired experience:
Government contracting; Microsoft NAV. Annual and quarterly payroll tax reporting. Account reconciliation, both prep and review. Knowledge of union payroll and Service Contract Act payroll rules will be useful. Prior experience in small back office groups, where roles and duties need to be flexible, is a plus.
