Part Time Weekend Hotel Night Auditor (Manassas, VA. 20109)

Job Description:
Ensure the overall operation of the hotel between 11pm and 7am. To balance all revenue departments, including food & beverage, credit card receipts, verify cash intake and the accuracy of all hotel accounts. Correct errors found in individual cashier’s work. Run daily reports, file and perform all end-of-day procedures. Post room and tax . Answer telephones, check guests in and out. Convey all-important information to the daytime accounting staff for follow-up. Ability to check guests in and out of the hotel, fulfilling their requests during their stay in a professional manner, answering telephones, making reservations and other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent guest service and problem- solving skills essential. Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude during all interactions with the guest.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent along with a minimum of 1-year night audit experience preferably in a full service or luxury hotel with high attention to detail.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Speak English fluently. (Spanish would be a plus)
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Moderate level accounting: Use of basic math skills, variance, and percentages. Solid math skills and knowledge is essential; previous accounting experience is beneficial. Ability to read, write and communicate clearly and precisely. Ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
REASONING ABILITY: Interaction/Communication: Professionally deal with difficult situations/people, conflict resolution skills, dealing with varied individuals of different educational levels. Ability to adjust to a wide variety of needs and demands multiple priorities, constant change in priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Light. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 20 lbs. The ability to remain alert and mentally sharp during the overnight shift. Good time-management skills are essential. This position is time-sensitive, and may be s stressful at times

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments, team members, clients and guests. Interface with public daily or provide support services to those who interface with the public daily. Exposure to temperatures of 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit and outside environment. Use of PC screens, copy machine toner and other office equipment. Adhere to safety requirements, standards and procedures as outline in Landry’s Hotel Division Associate Handbook. Participate in “all-employee” activities.
