Never used Franklin Chef 16 Bottle Wine Cooler.

This unit is designed to operate at a max of 18 degrees below ambient temp. This means if you put this unit in a home with a temp of 72 degrees the lowest temp the unit can each is 54 degrees. People use this cellar for storage of white wines at 54-55 degrees or Red wines at 64-66 degrees. Setting the thermostat at minimum will allow red wine successfully at this temp.
