Each of the artists paintings are unique,"Portrait in Blue" is an exceptional offering, both in eye appeal and quality. This is an early signed sand texture oil painting (18" x 21"), by Hu Chi Chung (1927-2012), who was reportedly one of Taiwan's top artists before he immigrated to the United States in 1971. The painting is a portrait of a beautiful imagined asian woman. This is quite possibly one of his better paintings of this size. Some of the artists larger paintings were offered by Zantman Art Galleries in Carmel, Ca at more than $7,000 while the artist was still alive. Select works are available as prints. One of his 24" x 19.9" portrait paintings (Portrait of Yungtze) in April 2018 was estimated to sell for $20,000 - $50,000 at a Sotheby's auction.
