Vintage Revere Tapster, Small Copper Pitcher 1930's or earlier
A tapster is a person who draws and serves alcoholic drinks at a bar. In this case this brass, copper and nickel tapster was made in the 1930's by Revere Rome N.Y to open a beer can when the pop-top beer can was not yet invented.
The beer can was placed in the small pitcher, the lid was pushed down and the stainless steel built in the forged brass lid would open the beer can.
The item measures 5 1/2 inches tall and pitcher has a diameter of 2 1/2 inches
Weight is approximately 1 Lb.
The condition of the tapster is good, with no dents - some discoloration due to age, which easily can be polished out.
Nice vintage patina.
