Antique Boxwood and Brass Rule, one 3-inch piece and one 9-inch piece, likely a carpenter’s or engineer’s take-apart rule. Not a standard folding rule. This type of rule was used for measuring and marking in woodworking, metalworking, and other trades where portability and precision were needed
