RARE Antique 40 qt. Dairy Farm Milk Can by "SOLAR". Search the internet and you will not find one like this one. Check out the handles. Very early design. Notice the SOLAR logo on the handles. As of this writing there are no others like it on the internet. The paint is not original. Someone in the past decided to paint to their liking.
See photos. In the right lighting you can makeout that the can is marked under the paint as follows......40 liq qts.....RIVERIA FARMS.....NEW YORK CITY. RIVERIA is spelled just like that on the can. It is not spelled like RIVIERA the european tourist spot. Someone in the past painted the can. Insides still bare metal. Paint is peeling. Clean and re-paint as you wish or leave as is. How about getting it sand blasted and then chromed! That would be cool. Use your imagination. How about sand blasted and than clear coated to give the bare metal look.
