Well-maintained Cannondale Bad Boy 3. It's been sitting for about a year since I ride my other bikes. Has great "point-and-shoot" geometry, nimble, fast, and sleek. It's a nice bike that will eventually need the usual maintenance, but has years of use left.
"The Cannondale Bad Boy series is a line of urban hybrid bikes known for their distinctive, sleek, and stealthy design.
General Features
Frame: The frame is typically made from a lightweight aluminum, either Cannondale's SmartForm C1 or C2 Alloy. It has a distinctive "Urban Armor" bumper integrated into the frame, which helps protect it from dings and scratches. The matte black finish with reflective graphics is a hallmark of the series.
Fork: A standout feature of the higher-end Bad Boy models is the Lefty LightPipe rigid fork. This is a single-sided fork that is not only visually unique given its Lefty Rigid fork.
Wheels and Tires: The bikes roll on 650b wheels, which are a smaller diameter than traditional road bike wheels but are often paired with larger, wider tires. This combination provides a nimble ride with excellent grip and comfort, especially over potholes and rough urban streets. The stock tires are often WTB Byway, 650b x 40c.
Bad Boy 3 Components:
8-speed microSHIFT or Shimano drivetrain and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. It also had a more traditional rigid Lefty fork without the integrated light.
Medium-- generally recommended for riders between 5'6" and 5'11", here are some typical geometric measurements:
Seat Tube Length: Approximately 490 mm
Top Tube Length (Effective): Approximately 592 mm
Standover Height: Approximately 792 mm (this can be slightly different depending on the specific model and tires)
Wheelbase: Approximately 1,070 mm
These dimensions provide a good balance of agility for navigating city streets and stability for a comfortable ride. The Cannondale Bad Boy's geometry is designed to be "point-and-shoot," making it quick and responsive.
