With a need for speed, the original 300 horsepower blocks were replaced with Mercruiser 454 blocks that were then rebuilt and bored out now generating 375 horsepower, with 4 barrel carburetors.
Other updates include:
- Leather-like marine vinyl (burgundy) seating and custom brocade (red/gold) curtains below
- New carpeting (forest green).
- All mahogany (real) wood interior - refinished in gloss varnish.
- 120V electric system rewired with 2 breaker boxes and GFCI outlets.
- NEW aluminum fuel tanks and water tank.
- Newer electric head & holding tank.
- Canvas cockpit enclosure and bow seating cover were added.

The layout includes a full galley, convertible dinette, convertible lounge, forward private v berth, and head with shower.
