This ship model, per a museum ship curator, represents a French warship from the mid 18th century (c.1750). The Surveillante class was a type of sixty-gun frigate of the French Navy. One of the especially nice features of this model is the fact that all sails are furled, including the stay sails.
This model is in terrific condition and offers a beautiful presentation. This art will look good in any room of your choice (especially den, office, man cave, bar, family, bedroom, sitting, living, hallway, game room, large walk in closet, pool or billiards, guest room, etc.). Would fit right into a restaurant or lounge with a matching theme.
The model is housed in a glass display case with a finished wood frame. The case is approximately 45"w x 38"h x 15 1/2"d.
As part of the set, also included is the table, which is approximately 27"h x 15"d x 50"w.
