Fairfax Yacht Club is the nicest marina in the area – it is a marina, not a “club” – with floating docks, park-like grounds and kids' play area, turtles, but with “club-like” heads, showers, and a marble kitchen/lounge. Friendly people and social events. Great full-time Dockmaster. We are the closest marina to the Potomac after Belmont Bay.

We are on the Fairfax side of the river, either right off 95 or a nice country drive to Rte. 123, on Mason Neck surrounded by Old Colchester Park & Preserve, a beautiful bike ride from Pohick Bay and Mason Neck State Park with bald eagles and rental canoes, and George Mason’s house (Gunston Hall). And no strip malls.

My 34’ slip on A dock is on the upriver (sunset view) marina edge, out at the end of the dock, easiest in/out and the best view in the marina (A Dock has no boats on the other side of the pier, so sitting in your cockpit with drinks you are in the middle of the river, with only upriver [and the sunset] behind you…). Also no creaking morning foot traffic of nighttime noise at the end of the dock. Available for $3,200 for now thru next March 31.

From https://fairfaxyachtclub.com/: “Fairfax Yacht Club is a first-class, year-round, recreational yachting facility with 170 open and covered slips accommodating boats up to 50 feet in length. The facility is designed and operated with the active boating family in mind. FYC offers a beautifully landscaped, park-like setting on a five-acre lot with several picnic/grilling stations, a firepit area, pavilion, well-kept restrooms, and a no-cost boat pump-out station. Slip owners and renters have access to the meticulously maintained clubhouse that features a full kitchen with granite countertops, skylights, and is adjacent to an indoor comfortable gathering area suitable for get-togethers. For peace of mind, Fairfax Yacht Club allows limited access to the private parking lot and clubhouse through a gated secured card entry system.

Being near the mouth of the Occoquan River allows easy access to the Potomac River and points beyond with only a short ride through the no wake zone. If you'd prefer to stay local, you can head up-river to the quaint town of Occoquan. There are many boat-friendly restaurants along the Occoquan and, once in town, there are numerous shops and restaurants to enjoy!”
